Jun Cheng Development Sdn. Bhd. traces its roots to a reputable construction company, Jun Cheng Construction Sdn. Bhd. which was incorporated on 28th September 2000 by its 2 towering founders, Datuk Chong Baba, DPSM, JP who serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as his long time business partner Datuk Poh Joon Teck, DPSM, JP.
A man of integrity and pragmatism, Datuk Chong Baba has been involved in the construction industry since 1984, first as a construction worker. Upon gaining a wealth of experience and learning the ropes of the construction business, he incorporated Man Tai Construction Sdn. Bhd. in 1992, and has been actively bidding for all kinds of projects ever since.
As an outstanding visionary with unwavering courage and brilliant entrepreneurship, Datuk Chong Baba is committed in providing top-notch leadership and exemplary professionalism in every project he handles.
Thanks to the outstanding leadership and comprehensive planning of its founders, Jun Cheng has successfully accomplished a variety of projects for a wide range of clientele, consisting both boutique developments and large government projects. Inspired by the founders’ ideals, the company has grown from strength to strength, with an extensive portfolio consisting of numerous high quality projects.
Run by a highly professional team of talents and supported by a unique and flexible project management system which ensures that positive outcome is always achieved regardless of the nature or size of the project, Jun Cheng Construction Sdn. Bhd was certified as G7 Construction Company by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in 2006 and awarded the ISO 9001 certification by the Malaysia Industry Development Finance (MIDF) in 2010. This accolades have immensely motivated the management to strive for greater excellence.
With the aim of developing quality homes for all, the Board of Directors decided it was high time to venture into property development. Therefore its property development arm, Jun Cheng Development Sdn. Bhd. was born.
Armed with the rich experience in construction, the company launched its first development project in 2012, namely Taman Machap Baru Indah, which was successfully delivered in 2014. Subsequently, Jun Cheng Development Sdn. Bhd. collaborated with Melaka Customary Lands Development Corporation (Pertam) in 2015 to develop the Project of Pangsapuri Pertam Jaya Idaman at Ujong Pasir, comprising a total of 432 units of affordable apartments, which has been fully completed and sold out in 2019.
